In 2012, I launched Summer Moon & Co. in East London, now thriving in Los Angeles.
As Creative Director & Strategist, my work is influenced by legendary mentors from music, film, luxury brands, and leading agencies worldwide. Let's create something extraordinary together.
James barreto
co-founder / recording & tours director
Hey! Music has been my lifelong passion, and I've had the incredible opportunity to tour the USA, UK, and EU with my band. Early in my career, I had the honor of working at the renowned Skylabs production studio in Gainesville, Florida. I've also been deeply involved in music creation, having written, recorded, and produced 13 of my own studio albums. Furthermore, I've had the privilege of producing bands in both Gainesville, Florida, and at South Austin Music Studios. My work has been featured with prestigious names like Sony Music Publishing, EMI, Fuzz Club Records, Autry Fulbright of Thundercat and Flying Lotus, Ian Bernacett, The Ohm, Outer Migration, Cordova, Brett Orisson, Little Cloud Records, Sentric Publishing, and Arts & Letters Radio.
I'm the Managing Director for Recording and Tours at Summer Moon & Co. Back in 2012, Nakia and I worked closely together during my tours. Those early days taught us valuable lessons about what works and what doesn't, and now I enjoy sharing that knowledge with the bands we collaborate with.

Alphie Ali
Writer
Hello, I’m Alphie — a seasoned creative and copywriter with 13+ years of hands-on experience across a diverse array of notable brands, and a track record of needle-moving conceptual work. I tell stories rooted in human insight and data, and deal in strategically-sound, internet-fueled thinking. I have a strong inclination for non-traditional ideas and take great pride in making things that evoke a visceral reaction.
I’ve been fortunate to ply my trade at a number of agencies in their prime, learning from some of the best in the business. Having produced everything from web and TV to print, social, radio, and experiential for traditional, digital, social, and PR agencies, I’m versatile enough to take on nearly any kind of project.
Outside of work, I’m kept busy parenting 4-year-old twins, a 2-year-old, and a dog who identifies as a cat. I’m also a big soccer fan, have traveled more than most, and sometimes run a bootleg cocktail club out of my living room.
